A glimse of Jacky and Elisabeth Delarue life on the opal fields for about 25 years
in Opalton (125 km south west of Winton) and surroundings, in Outback Queensland in Australia, with some scenes of opal mining and underground tunnels we dug by hand (over 500 metres over the years down to 16 metres deep.
Jacky used to dig and Elisabeth was shovelling the dirt into a trolley and then emptying it into the automatic hoist bucket to take it out.
We have retired from opal mining in 2014, but we are still processing our opals and selling them online on this website .
